Sofwave Ultrasound Treatment-How to Maximize Your Results

Sofwave is a non-invasive next generation ultrasound treatment to lift, tighten, and tone the brow, face, neck and skin. It improves lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin without downtime.

PRE-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

1. Arrival and Preparation:
   • Arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. Avoid applying any skincare products, makeup, or sunscreen after your first cleansing of the day.
   • Ensure that you have eaten prior to your appointment to maintain comfort during the procedure.
   • Arrive jewelry-free and, if receiving a neck treatment, wear a V-neck top for easy access to the treatment area.
2. Photos and Consent:
   • Photographs and consent documentation will be completed prior to treatment, if not already done.
3. Pre-Treatment Cleansing and Numbing:
   • A team member will thoroughly cleanse the skin to remove any residual product or debris.
   • Topical numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area and will remain for approximately 30 minutes to enhance comfort during the procedure.
4. Contraindications – Reasons to Avoid Sofwave:
   • Active cystic acne or open wounds in the treatment area
   • Metal implants within the treatment area
   • Recent dermal filler treatment in the treatment area (wait at least two weeks before and after Sofwave treatment)
   • Please notify our team if any of the above apply to you to determine if Sofwave is appropriate at this time.

POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

1. Expected Effects:
   • Mild redness and/or swelling may occur in the treated area and typically resolve within a few hours.
   • Warmth or tenderness in the treatment area may persist but should subside without intervention.
   • There should be no persistent pain after the procedure. Contact the office if discomfort persists.
2. Skin Care:
   • You may resume your regular skincare routine immediately following the treatment.
   • Apply sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher to protect the treated area from UV exposure.
3. Follow-Up:
   • Results develop gradually over time, with most patients noticing improvements as early as two weeks post-treatment. Full results typically appear within three months.
   • A follow-up appointment is recommended in 3-4 months for post-treatment photos and evaluation.
   • For optimal results, a series of one to two treatments is generally recommended, with maintenance sessions every 12 months.
